Burn the DVD Twice I received this error: At the 49% burn mark. I/O Error! blutach Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 I 13:07:28 Destination Device: [0:0:0] SONY DVD RW DRU-810A 2.0f (E:) (USB)I 13:07:28 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: CMC MAG-D01-00) (Speeds: 2.4x) Taking your life into your own hands there, aren't you. A short search would tell you that Verbatims +R 2.4x, Made in Singapore, MKM-001 are the the only DL disks we recommend. Also, wondering where you got your firmware - the last official one and the one of forum.rpc1.org is 1.0f. Go back to it. See http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2179 Regards

I got the firmware from sony support website
polorsport Posted March 10, 2008 Author Posted March 10, 2008 The other thing I don't understand how the bottom of the dvd player reads Dru 810UL. Yet imgburn reads the burner as DRU-810A
blutach Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 The DRX-810UL is probably the USB version of the 810A. If you want to do with what you have, then be prepared for some (possibly many) bad burns. Just chuck them out when you experience them. Regards
spinningwheel Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 I was hoping to make do with what I have. Of course...of course...we all do. But then we come to the realization that we have arrived here: Please help I have spent so much time on this already. And we know that the time we spend we can never get back. So...lets draw a simple conclusion here..... shit disc = time wasted = closer to my = not so much saved as wasted because I went cheaply into the night. Get rid of the shitty CMC's and get what we recommend!!!
nrk4594 Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 I'm having trouble loading this game. I have an NTSC wii firmware 3.4U with drivekey (2nd batch) installed. Here are the drivekey settings: Drivekey: ON Region Override: ON Update Blocker: Import WII Disc Autoboot: OFF Full GC Region Free: On I've tried burning the NTSC Wizard release to DVD+R DL without any success. I'm using Verbatim DVD+R DL burned at 4x (slowest it can burn) with ImgBurn v2.4.4.0. I keep getting the message "An error has occurred. Press the Eject button and remove the disc, then turn the Wii console off and refer to the Wii Operations Manual for help troubleshooting." I've tried with the custom layer break at 2084960 and at the default "calculate optimal" Here are the logs, if that helps: <--------BURN ONE---------> (Using the default settings of ImgBurn with only the custom layer break) I 18:20:34 ImgBurn Version 2.4.4.0 started! I 18:20:34 Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 2) I 18:20:34 Total Physical Memory: 1,047,996 KB - Available: 635,548 KB I 18:20:34 Initialising SPTI... mmalves Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Use the Verify mode to check those discs against the source image, just to be sure they were correctly burned. Have you tried them on other Wii consoles?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 If it burns and verifes ok, ImgBurn has done its job (or rather the drive has). If the disc doesn't work in your player then you'll have to take that up with whoever made the source content / image and whoever made the player - and of course that isn't something you do here on this forum.
