blutach Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Update your firmware - see http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2176 And (try to) slow down the burn across a USB port. Regards
noliss Posted March 13, 2008 Author Posted March 13, 2008 Worked perfectly. Thank you so much for the tip.
isamudysan Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 (edited) i am have the same power calibration area error even after i updated the fw. i have no idea what to do next. my device is a lite-on dvdrw LH-20A1L (sata drive). previous fw was bl05, current fw after fw update is bl06. media typ being used is a yuden dvd. i have always burned movie dvds at 2.4x speed with dvd decrypter with old xp machine. new machine is vista 64bit, and i was using dvd decrypter but found out about imageburn and switched to it. however, i am unable to burn any dvds. below is my imgburn log: I 19:09:03 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started! mmalves Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 If you like to watch it burn slowly try at least 4x, but you may get better results using 8x or 12x. Notice the media is rated by the manufacturer for up to 16x, and newer burners are optimized (i.e. produce better quality burns) at higher speeds.
