Mitchum22 Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Hello, All. First time post. Great forum and even greater program! I suddenly have developed a verification problem with ImgBurn. Each burn seems to go very smoothly, but this is what I'm getting during verification: ================================================================== I 13:06:01 ImgBurn Version 2.4.0.0 started! I 13:06:01 Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 2) I 13:06:01 Total Physical Memory: 1,015,088 KB - Available: 642,020 KB I 13:06:01 Initialising SPTI... I 13:06:01 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 13:06:02 Found 2 DVD-ROMs and 1 DVD
mmalves Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Try burning at 8x. If that doesn't solve your problem, check your computer's memory with Memtest86+
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Are you sure you don't just have something running in the background that's changing the data on the fly?
blutach Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Gee, every miscompare is on bit 7 and only at byte 2 in the sector, which makes you think of a background app is doing something like stripping the bits. However, I doubt a background app would change VOB data on the fly. It looks like a bad burn/memory error. The drive is getting "on", too. And, you might like to go back to the official firmware and see if that changes anything. Regards
