error message: Fix VTS Sector Failed!

Recommended Posts

I ripped a movie with DVD Decrypter. It resulted in the following files:

VTS_01 text document - streaming information

VTS_01_1 .VOB file

VTS_01_0 .IFO file

As per the guide "Burning DVD Video files directly to single layer media with ImgBurn", I put all these files in a folder titled: VIDEO_TS. I used the browse button to locate the folder, clicked OK. When I clicked on the calculate button, I got the following error message:

Fix VTS Sector Failed!

Reason: Could not find VIDEO_TS.IFO file

Why would that error message show up if all the ripped files are in the VIDEO_TS file?

If the info in the guide isn't working it's safe to assume your source files are messed up.

Sorry for the reposr - I thought there was an error. Is there a way to check on the source files' integrity?

You don't need to check them, they're wrong - take my word for it!

A proper set of DVD Video files is made up of something like:

VIDEO_TS.IFO

VIDEO_TS.VOB

VIDEO_TS.BUP

VTS_01_0.IFO

VTS_01_0.VOB

VTS_01_1.VOB

VTS_01_2.VOB

VTS_01_3.VOB

VTS_01_0.BUP

No VOB file is ever over 1GB in size.

Sorry but that's as much info as I can give you. You'll have to look elsewhere for non burning related help - this forum does not and will not provide it.
