CWBillow Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 Is there a way to tell whether my DVD drive is ddue-layer? Belarc says I have two CD/DVD drives; FvFx CDDVDvx+tech-200 SCSI CdRom Device [CD-ROM drive] HL-DT-ST DVD-RW GSA-H60L ATA Device [CD-ROM drive] I bought the machine pre-configured... and I'm, at a bit of a loss here. I've got card readers (two different sizes) and the CD/DVD drives. How can I tell? Regards, Chuck Billow
dontasciime Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 The lg drive you have will burn dual layer Put a dual layer disc in lg and switch to write mode and look at right hand side pane in ImgBurn for write speeds and disc recognition
LOCOENG Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 FvFx CDDVDvx+tech-200 SCSI CdRom Device [CD-ROM drive] This should be a combo drive meaning it will read and write CD's and only read DVD's HL-DT-ST DVD-RW GSA-H60L ATA Device [CD-ROM drive] This drive must be fairly new on the market as I can't find any details for it, but new drives almost always support DL media...this one will certainly burn SL media and I don't see a problem with DL media though.
Cynthia Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 There is a function in the program that will tell you what the burner/reader can do: Main Menu -> Tools -> Drive -> Capabilites
dontasciime Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 This is basically your drive http://ca.lge.com/en/products/model/detail..._gsah62l.jhtml#
