Is there a way to tell whether my DVD drive is ddue-layer?

Belarc says I have two CD/DVD drives;

FvFx CDDVDvx+tech-200 SCSI CdRom Device [CD-ROM drive]

HL-DT-ST DVD-RW GSA-H60L ATA Device [CD-ROM drive]

I bought the machine pre-configured... and I'm, at a bit of a loss here.

I've got card readers (two different sizes) and the CD/DVD drives.

How can I tell?

Regards,

Chuck Billow

The lg drive you have will burn dual layer

Put a dual layer disc in lg and switch to write mode and look at right hand side pane in ImgBurn for write speeds and disc recognition

This should be a combo drive meaning it will read and write CD's and only read DVD's

This drive must be fairly new on the market as I can't find any details for it, but new drives almost always support DL media...this one will certainly burn SL media and I don't see a problem with DL media though.

There is a function in the program that will tell you what the burner/reader can do:

Main Menu -> Tools -> Drive -> Capabilites
