Windy Miller Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 I have an external USB HP dvd840e which burns CDs (and LightScribes) OK. For the first time I have tried to burn a DVD from an ISO image. However, ImgBurn always reports Medium Not Present. I've tried imation DVD+R and DVD+RW. According to the Capabilities, both are supported. I've trawled the other posts on this forum and conclude that my drive is shot or my medium is poor quality. Has anyone had this problem before specifically with a dvd840e and found media that works or do I have to buy another drive? Thanks in advance for your help. Windy Miller
blutach Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 Welcome to ImgBurn Forum Windy. We recommend Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden media exclusively. Certainly, we would recommend against Imation. For DL stuff, we only recommend Verbatim 2.4X +R, Made in Singapore, media code (MKM-001-00). For more info, see our drives and media sub-forum. Good luck. Regards
Cynthia Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 However, ImgBurn always reports Medium Not Present. Sounds more as there is a problem with the burner.
