mmalves Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 I 17:22:51 Destination Device: [6:0:0] _NEC DVD_RW ND-3500AG 2.16 (E:) (SCSI)I 17:22:51 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: CMC MAG-D01-00) Your drive doesn't support the media you're using (notice that it doesn't show any Supported Write Speeds). A firmware update can, in theory, add support for burning that media, but CMC discs are known for their low quality. You'll have much better results using Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x MKM-001-00 Made in Singapore. You can find newer firmware for your burner here -> http://liggydee.cdfreaks.com/page/en/NEC-ND-3500A/ (Liggy's 3500 bitsetting Firmware 2.1b seems to be the best option) Remove any disc from the burner and close the tray before flashing the drive. Even if you're going to use Verbatim DVD+R DLs, having the latest firmware ensures the best burn quality //edit: Sorry Boss I promise I won't do it again
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Update the firmware on your drive. http://www.sonynec-optiarc.eu/en/support-s...-nd-series.html or more directly... http://www.sonynec-optiarc.eu/uploads/zU/L...500A_win21B.zip If it still doesn't work, ditch the discs you're using and get some Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x (MKM-001-00) ones instead. EDIT: Damn it, I'm always 10 seconds slow
