wario Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Hey all, I'm trying to make an iso from a dvd. I did a search, and it seems that others who have had this error have had it at a different part of the process than me, so I'm posting my problem with hope that you guys can help me out. At 22% of the process, imgbuurn gives me an error. Here's my log: I 10:18:21 ImgBurn Version 2.4.0.0 started!I 10:18:21 Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate Edition (6.0, Build 6000)I 10:18:21 Total Physical Memory: 2,095,616 KB - Available: 1,379,884 KBI 10:18:21 Initialising SPTI...I 10:18:21 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices...I 10:18:21 Found 1 DVD-ROM, 1 DVD
Cynthia Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Hi and welcome to the forum, wario! The program can't read the disc. Is the disc scratched/dirty? Tried to clean it?
wario Posted March 26, 2008 Author Posted March 26, 2008 Well, it seems fine. I tried to make an ISO of another DVD using imgburn just a few minutes ago, and lo and behold it worked fine. Hmm...what do you think the problem might be with that dvd (besides dirt/scratches)?
Cynthia Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 That when it was burnt the first time, the burning went wrong. If it had been a Princo disc it sounds very likely, but you seems to use better stuff. But even the sun has its spots... That TYG02 disc. Is it a real Taiyo Yuden disc, or is it a fake one?
wario Posted March 27, 2008 Author Posted March 27, 2008 No couldn't be that. I tried burning that dvd multiple times. The other 3 dvds I tried making ISO's of all worked out fine. I just tried making an ISO of that same dvd...still doesn't work, lol. Must be a messed up disc somehow (even though it plays fine....damn what the hell is wrong?!) p.s. To the best of my knowledge is real. It is imported.
Cynthia Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 I 10:21:36 Source Media Type: DVD-R (Disc ID: TYG02) It is a burned disc you are trying to read from.
