Problem: Burning DL (getting an I/O error)

Alright, so I searched through the forum and took the following advice from some of the threads.

Ok, so I'm burning a backup of Super Smash Bros Brawl.

Used the following precautions:

I used the custom layer break, wrote at 2.4X, have 2 different DVD media (Memorex and Verbatim) and updated the firmware on my DVD writer.

I'm totally stumped now.

here's the log from Imgburn

Please post the Verbatim log too.

That said, if it really won't burn the Verbatims either (and they're the 2.4x MKM-001-00 made in Singapore discs), it does sound like a new drive is in order.

Unfortunately, I only had one disc of the Verbatim's and I did not save the log. But, ya, I think it may be time for a new drive :(

The log is automagically saved and you can find it at Help/ImgBurn Logs ;)
