volvofl10 Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 is it a normal stereo mp3 with a normal bit rate ?, example 128/169/192 ect ect , or is it something with a variable bitrate do all other mp3 files get accepted in IB ?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 The MS directshow filters will fail if the mp3 uses an ID3 v2.4 tag. You might want to check your files don't use that version. After that, it falls back to ACM decoding and there's a but in that, which is what you're running into.

It's a MPEG Audio Layer 3 32000Hz mono 48Kbps and there are no pronlems with other files that i've tryed with to create CD CUE file. LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 Try opening the file with a proper tagging program. Something like ID3-TagIt. http://www.id3-tagit.de/
SIMPLE_GUY Posted March 31, 2008 Author Posted March 31, 2008 Try opening the file with a proper tagging program. Something like ID3-TagIt. http://www.id3-tagit.de/ OK. Here's an information obtained with ID3-TagIt program: Duration: 00:45:01 File size (KB): 15830 Bitrate (kBit/s): 48 CBR / VBR: CBR Samplerate: 32000 Channel: Mono Version: MPEG-1.0 Layer III
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I was after the ID3 tag version info rather than the file format info, but not to worry! Looking at what you've provided, perhaps the directshow filter cannot convert from 32000 mono to the format required for buring onto CD (44100, stereo, 16 bit). I expect ACM would fail too on that file (assuming it was working in ImgBurn full stop!)

All i found about ID3 tag is shown on the screenshot below. It shows two versions: So, as i understood it is not possible to burn an Audio CD from these files using ImgBurn?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 ID3 v1 is v1.0 ID3 v2 is v2.3 So, as i understood it is not possible to burn an Audio CD from these files using ImgBurn? If your filters don't support the conversion, no. ImgBurn relies upon DirectShow completely. If it can't do it then you're out of luck.

What i have installed on my comp by default is K-Lite Codec Full Pack. Probably that's not enough, but i'm not a computer geek like dontasciime is. Guys, you have a lot of patience for people like me. Wish you well.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 Open the file in graphedit and see which filters it loads for it. ImgBurn works in the same way except it forces the output format into std CD-DA 44100, 16 bit stereo.
