After failed burn, DVD drive won't read ANY disks!

So I have a 360 image that I was going to burn on Verbatim Dual Layer disk (using a TS-H553A burner). I set everything up in settings (layerbreak, burn speed was at 2.4 etc.). Then I start the burning and have a bunch of errors pop up. After ignoring the first error, it kept retrying for ages and after around 20 goes I got a bunch more messages which I attached in the picture. I then ran the 360 image through Mulleter and it said it had no problems. So I took the disk out the drive, put it back in and it wasn't getting recognised. I just tried a whole bunch of DVDs/CDs and dual layers and none of them are being read now by any program. When I put a disk in it closes and there is no spinning sound.

It's the first time I've used this drive to burn so at first I tried out new firmware. Deleted the old firmware, installed the new, restarted still have problems. I did some searching on the Microsoft help pages and used their registry tool to fix drive problems and after a restart it still doesn't work. The drive appears ok when viewed in the device manager, so I'm not sure what has caused this?

Sounds like the drive died, can you send it back under warranty?

I bought it off a friend so guess not. It's weird since it worked fine the other day when I burnt on a Verbatim. I've come across so similar posts on forums where people have had theirs start reading disks again, so I'll have to look into it more I guess.

Thanks.

If ImgBurn can't see the disc in the drive and it doesn't sound like it's spinning up when you put a new disc in then I very much doubt it'll fix itself.

I forgot to upload the errors I got, it may explain what caused the failure?

Well just ordered a Pioneer 112D since they are most compatible with 360 and burn well when using ImgBurn (or so a friend has said).
