Sheldon, never heard of that problem before, but have provided link for you.

http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?shfolder Hope this helps you out. :D

Some more info: The file shfolder.dll, is required by windows and contains functions used to display 'special' folders, such as MyDocuments, MyPhotos etc. Windows cannot operate without shfolder.dll.

shfolder.dll is flagged as a system process and does not appear to be a security risk. However, removing Shell Folder Service Library may adversly impact your system.

The Spy Bot database currently registers shfolder.dll to Microsoft. This is part of Microsoft Windows.

Blimey, how did you manage to not have shfolder.dll?!

I've personally tested ImgBurn on 95, 98, Me, NT4, 2000, XP and 2003. Never once did I come across such an error.

Have you got a build of 98 there with NOTHING else installed? At the very least I'd have expected Internet Explorer to install that file - if it's not already in the base build.

The link below lets you download the proper package (containing that file) from Microsoft's website.
