jayfischer Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 (edited) What happened to the transparent splash screen? Not that is matters but I like that one better than the box. Edited April 3, 2008 by jayfischer
Cynthia Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 You mean this one? If so, it's still here on my Vista computer.
jayfischer Posted April 4, 2008 Author Posted April 4, 2008 Wow that's weird. I just tried it on my desktop and I have the "new" splash screen. On my laptop its the old box type splash. Oh well. Must have something to do with resolution or adapter config.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Could be the OS? If the commands aren't supported then the old one is used.
jayfischer Posted April 4, 2008 Author Posted April 4, 2008 Just for the sake of completeness. Both machines are running XP Pro SP2.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 And you weren't running it in 'compatibility' mode or anything? Maybe it was the colour depth then, otherwise I'm all out of ideas!
JasonFriday13 Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Just tested on my server (windows 2000, 16bit colour), I get the new banner.
weisborg Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Doesn't matter to me as long as you don't change to a stupid monkey with a crown...hehehe I'd imagine it would have to be 2K+ for it to work. About the only thing before that would have been a null brush, which usually can do the same thing since most often the area is only a transparent segment of what was there at the time of loading...move something under it and it doesn't reflect it in the transparent section, etc...although now that I try it the thing goes away to quick or gets covered up, so I guess it wouldn't matter either way as it isn't topmost...

weisborg Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 (edited) Ok...that one is kinda cute, I could allow that. Most people may not get my ref unless they have used Fab for some time. Nice job on the guides BTW. Didn't notice much till recently, but they took some time and are very detailed. Edited April 5, 2008 by weisborg
