vroomfondel Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 This has happened on the last 3 discs I've tried. Before that the program was working fine. No settings have changed and I've been using the same spindle of Verbatim +R media for the last 50 discs or so. Never a problem and now it's failed 3 times in a row. Even attempting to cancel the burn hangs ImgBurn and I need to Ctrl+Alt+Del out of it. Log I 00:14:29 ImgBurn Version 2.4.0.0 started! I 00:14:29 Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 2) I 00:14:29 Total Physical Memory: 2,096,492 KB - Available: 1,627,604 KB I 00:14:29 Initialising SPTI... mmalves Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Update to the latest ImgBurn version (get from Mirror 7); Try slowing the burn speed to 16x, 12x or 8x; You might want to upgrade your burner's firmware. Tthe latest version is SB03, which can be found on Samsung's Firmware page.
blutach Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Have you applied any patches to the firmware? If so, reload the stock one (and yes, the SB03 is the latest). Regards
vroomfondel Posted April 9, 2008 Author Posted April 9, 2008 Changed to V 2.4.1 and upgraded firmware and last two burns were successful. Thanks.
