Hello, recently I burned the first DVD in my life onto a DVD+R using DVD Flick. I was so happy I went to Fry's and bought a 40 pack of DVD-R media. I used the last DVD+R I had to burn a dvd and then went again with a DVD-R disc and ImgBurn gives the following error:

I 03:39:51 Destination Media Type: DVD-R (Disc ID: CMC MAG. AM3)

Sadly, you bought the cheapest nastiest rubbishiest media on the market. Go back and trade them for decent stuff like Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden.

I 03:39:51 Destination Device: [1:0:0] _NEC DVD_RW ND-2510A 2.04 (D:) (ATA)

Also, your firmware is years out of date - update it from here.

Your burner is very old - be looking to get a new one in the next little bit.

Regards

The firmware update enabled burning DVD-R with no problems! Thanks for your help!
