I/O error during creating Image

My system have two CD drive, one CD-ROM drive and one CD-Writer. When I make an Image with the CD-ROM drive, after %99 completion, I receive the following error.

 

 

But when I make an Image with the Write, all is OK. what is the problem?

Old device. The reading performance is perhaps not as good as your newer ? writer.

 

Could try to see if there is a later firmware for that cd device.

I checked your suggestion. The firmware of my CD-ROM was the last version and need no update
