dbminter Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 I was wondering. When I run ImgBurn, I have to give ZoneAlarm an okay for it to call CSRSS because I have it set to let me know such things behind the scenes. I was curious what this call was for, or maybe a better question, what CSRSS is? Thanks!
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Is Google not working where you are? csrss.exe is the main executable for the Microsoft Client/Server Runtime Server Subsystem. This process manages most graphical commands in Windows.
dbminter Posted April 28, 2008 Author Posted April 28, 2008 I admit I didn't look. CHEEKY! NORMALLY, I don't have luck doing searches for answers related to questions I have about PC processes, etc. So, it never even occurred to me to try.
blutach Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Who can understand what they say anyway, db? I'm with you, mate! Regards
Altercuno Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Yup me too... And csrss.exe can also be a trojan... Determining whether csrss.exe is a virus or a legitimate Windows process depends on the directory location it executes or runs from. So not to worry you db, but your pc may be infected and all your secret information is being sold on Russian scammer sites for
