hi every one,im new here so i hope this is in the rite place to post. ive used imgburn a few times to do dvd backups and was wondering what the verify at the end of a burn actually means/what it dose, is it the same as closing the dvd as you do when doing an audio burn, thanks in advance.... dave. :thumbup:

Hi and welcome to the forum, davedarkstar! :)

 

No the disc is already closed in the write stage, the verify stage compares your burned disc bit by bit with the original source. If it passes this test - it can be read. See it as a quality check.
