davedarkstar Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 hi every one,im new here so i hope this is in the rite place to post. ive used imgburn a few times to do dvd backups and was wondering what the verify at the end of a burn actually means/what it dose, is it the same as closing the dvd as you do when doing an audio burn, thanks in advance.... dave.
Cynthia Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 Hi and welcome to the forum, davedarkstar! No the disc is already closed in the write stage, the verify stage compares your burned disc bit by bit with the original source. If it passes this test - it can be read. See it as a quality check.
