Thugg1shace323 Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 OK... first tried the "TEST".. to see if it'll go through (without having to waste a DVD disc) it gives me this message that popps up saying "DeviceIOControl(FSCTL_LOCK_VOLUME) Failed! Device: [1:0:0] HL-DT-ST-DVDRAM GSA-4084N KQ09 (E:) (ATA) Unable to lock volume for exclusive access Reason: Access is denied Hint: You've got another program running that's using the drive, close it and then click "TRY AGAIN" Now the device is most likely my HP Laptop's burner... but i don't have any progz. open that use the disc drive... please help :-\ Thanks alot people!

dontasciime Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 If you are using Vista try disabling the CD recording features in Explorer with the registry key below (there are 2 enable and disable) DisableEnableCDBurningVista I had to disable this feature on one of my laptops
