good afternoon!

Though I am new to the forums, I have been using Imgburn for a little while with great success and satisfaction.

I have combed the forum and have become familar with the operation (I think) as well as all the major contributors to this informative site.

I have burned many successful dvds with imgburn, but have run upon a problem. Hope someone can help

This disc has been burned at various speeds to no avail.

Currently using Verbatims, not the best ones, but verbatims that have worked for me in the past.

The dvd in the log plays fine on the computer, but not on the standalone.

Thanks for a wonderful product!

Is that a HP/Compaq computer? Have you tried burning at 8x? Have you tried that disc on more than one standalone players? I'm asking all this because it seems the disc was burnt OK.

Usually that error is due to low quality blanks, but since you're using Verbatim, and they're known to make good blanks, I think the problem could be an outdated firmware on your burner. I found this on HP's site and you might want to try it, since it seems to be a firmware upgrade.

Anyway, even with that error the disc passes the verify stage, which means it was properly burned. If you're still worried about it, try finding Taiyo Yuden blanks, as they're also known for their high quality.
