Bootable Vista

I have been wanting to dual boot vista and xp and while I have the store bought xp disk my vista disk is a factory restore disk. I downloaded vista but when I make the files into an img and burn them it doesn't boot. I haven't been able to find a guide to make a dvd bootable. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

how you create a boot able disc in ImgBurn. Look under the 'Bootable Disc' in the above post regarding 'Build mode'.
