XadoX Posted May 13, 2008 Share Posted May 13, 2008 (edited) Hello I have a problem with "ImgBurn" under "Vista Home Premium x64 SP1". I am using a LG GSA-H66N DVD-Burner. On Windows XP x86 & x64 everything works fine. If I start ImgBurn under Vista x64 everything seems like normal, but if I insert a DVD+RW ImgBurn freezes during reading the media. After 5-7mins I get control over the system again. At first I thougt there is a problem with the Interface so I installed the ElbyCDIO from AnyDVD and switched to it but the same problem occurs. Then I reinstalled the "IDE ATA/ATAPI-Controller", the Burner and all other IDE and SATA devices. That also did not help. LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 13, 2008 Share Posted May 13, 2008 You need to actually post the error or the bit where there is a pause - that bit of the log is normal. Once you've inserted the disc, keep an eye on the statusbar in the main window. It'll tell you what the program is doing and might offer us a clue as to what's going on. XadoX Posted May 14, 2008 Author Share Posted May 14, 2008 At starting ImgBurn and no Disc inserted "Device not Ready" is shown. After inserting the DVD+RW the Status Message is changing to "Logical Unit is in process". After that at "Getting Disc Physical Format Information (Last Recorded)" Vista complety freezes. Now I really need you to capture exactly what happens from the moment you put the disc in until the 5 - 10 minute wait is over and it starts working again. So load the program without a disc in the drive, press F8 to enable I/O debug mode and then insert the disc. Leave it until you get control back and then save the log to a file and attach it in your next post - or email it to the support email address (look in the program's about box) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
XadoX Posted May 14, 2008 Author Share Posted May 14, 2008 After doing some test, i found out that there are also problems with other disks on normal windows use. Because its an intel chipset I installed the actual Intel Matrix Storage Software including a AHCI-driver. After that everything seems to work as normal. Now i will do some burn tests.
