Jaxon70 Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 I've tried burning Verbatim DL discs from an ISO file, but there is an error around 50% every time. I assume this is during the layer break, but I don't know what to do about it. This has happened on multiple files, so it's not the same ISO each time this has happened. I'm tire of wasting DL discs. Thanks for advance for any help you can provide! mmalves Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 Update to ImgBurn v2.4.1.0 (get from the ImgBurn.com mirror). Are those Verbatim blanks made in Singapore or India (look in the package)? The ones made in Singapore are better. Try a lens cleaner on that drive, or you might want to get a new burner.
Cynthia Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 Hi and welcome to the forum, Jaxon70! The last firmware update for that writer was released in october 2005. I doubt you get much luck of burning DL discs with that writer. You might get some more luck if you crossflash it to be a Lite-On writer and by that using the Lite-On firmware.
