Hi there,

 

I have a question. Today i wasted 4x Verbatim DVD-R when trying to burn my first WII backup.

 

My burner: Optiarc DVD RW AD-7170A 1.05 (ATA)

Burnspeed selected: 4x

Media: Verbatim 16x DVD-R (Manufacturer ID: TYG03)

 

This is the my last log (i tried test burn first, the test was succesfull though). I am sorry for the the language, my native language is dutch. I do not hope this is a problem for the following log.

What if you increase the write speed?

 

The drive might be better at burning that media at 8x or 12x than at 4x.

 

Could be a good solution but burning WII iso's at more then 4x is not recommanded.

All that's 'recommended' is that you get the best burn possible.

 

If 4x doesn't work full stop, it's not exactly a valid speed for getting the 'best burn' !

Yes i understand.

 

I think my burner was not good, i bought other burner (Optiarc 5200A) and now it seems to work. Thanks for all of your answers.
