spinningwheel Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 Your firmware is the latest available, but the drive is getting some age on it. It's crapping out at the very beginning of the burn, have you tried another disc?
paulpc Posted May 25, 2008 Author Posted May 25, 2008 (edited) Yes,I had a HP DVD-R pack before Verbatim. I had no problems then. From 25 Verbatim DVD-R, 6 failed to burn. Edited May 25, 2008 by paulpc
LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 Have you tried burning at 12x or 8x? Maybe the 4x write strategy just doesn't work (very well) ?
paulpc Posted May 28, 2008 Author Posted May 28, 2008 I bought yesterday 4 Philips DVD-R and successfully burned them at 8x. Soon I'll try with Verbatims.
