Burning waves to dvd-r

I'd like to know the best tactic to burn a super-compilation of waves files to a dvd-r. I'd like the burned disk to behave like a CD-audio, if possible, since my Oppo is plugged to a tube amp with no monitor.

Also, can we mix different waves formats (redbook, 24/96) in a compilation like that?

Thanks for helping!

You can't burn CD-DA to a DVD, it just doesn't work like that.

CD-DA uses 2352 bytes per sector and DVD only supports 2048.

You could make an audio DVD disc with http://www.audio-dvd-creator.com/

I have used this in past for DVD players that would not play mp3 from a DVD

my only problem with this software is the resampling at 48 kHz. is there any way to avoid this with a dvd?

i try to avoid manipulating the sound, for quality purposes.
