Getting image file onto cd.

Ok, so this has probably been covered but I haven't found it anywhere and have decided to post my own thread about it.

I used the Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool and it says I have to put the information on a cd. I have used two cd's now because the first one I used I didn't copy an image to it, and the second one, I used copy image files to cd but I still don't understand why I can't get it to come up. It says it's suppose to open automatically when I reboot my computer, but it doesn't. If I click on my computer and open the cd rom from there, first I get a folder titled "I386" and when I click that there's an application called "WINDIAG" but it wants me to open that along with something, but it doesn't open. I try to open it with ImgBurn and it says "Invalid or unsupported image file!"

Really, I just want to get the Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool to run on my computer. :(

You have to boot your computer with the CD.

Press f8 when your computer is posting or f11 or maybe the esc key to access the boot menu [look at post screen to see which key activates boot menu]. Or press DEL to enter Bios and change boot order and put your CD/DVD drive as 1st.

edit, not sure about the windows memory checker but get memtest+ and burn that to cd or maybe the windows one needs to run the same way.

edit, having googled the windows memory diag tool it needs to boot as per info above. So follow steps in this post.
