dayla Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 (edited) Okay so...I have been using img burn for a long time now and for a while the no seek complete error message would come on but I was able to eject the DVD near the end and it turned out fine... Cynthia Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Hi and welcome to the forum, dayla! I 12:58:09 Write Type: Incremental Normally it should be set to 'DAO'.
dayla Posted June 9, 2008 Author Posted June 9, 2008 Can you tell me how to switch it to DAO? I am looking around but can't seem to find where it would be changed...under write mode? Ps Fast Reply!
Cynthia Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Yes, the tab Write in the Settings. Then the dropdown list almost at the top of that window. Now it shows Incremental, select DAO/SAO.
mmalves Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 I 12:58:09 Destination Device: [1:0:0] HP DVD Writer 300n 3.11 (E:) (ATA)I 12:58:09 Destination Media Type: DVD+R (Speeds: 2.4x, 4x) Your burner is old and doesn't support the blanks you're using (notice it doesn't show the Media ID). You may have luck using Verbatim 8x or Taiyo Yuden 8x blanks. A new burner is pretty cheap and would ensure good quality burns
LIGHTNING UK! Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 That model is so old that it might not even support returning the media id of the current disc. I'd go for a new drive.
