The so-called Piracy Tax would be used to "compensate" record labels for internet piracy." As the article rightly points out, if this so called tax were to actually be implemented, tax payers expect to get something in return for their taxes being paid. You think the RIAA is going to do anything for the consumer if it gets its tax? Who would be the real pirates then?
