VHBravo Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 (edited) So I will not lie, I am a noob at ISO writing to blank CD's. I have an ISO that is about 3.75gigs that I am trying to write to a CD so I may put the CD in my computer and play the ISO on my computer. So I start up the writing mode of IMGBurn, and and select the ISO. See, I don't have a CD that's big enough, so I put in a DVD-R with 4.7GB of space on it. I thought I'd be fine. That's what I'm seeing. I've selected my E: drive (where the DVD-R is inserted). I notice it says Medium Not Yet Present. Can anyone guide a moron like me through this so I can play my ISO from my CD?! Edited June 23, 2008 by VHBravo
mmalves Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 You need a DVD burner to burn a DVD-R Your drive is a CD burner and DVD reader, also known as combo drive.

blutach Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 A CD only holds about 700Mb of data. Your ISO is 5 times the size. It needs a DVD. Go buy a good burner and get some Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden DVD blanks. Regards
