Docfxit Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 I would like to burn an ISO image. When I put a DVD in, start ImageBurn and select "Write Image file to disk" it gives me an error on the bottom of the window saying "No reference position found". I can't find any resolutions on what to do to fix that. ImageBurn ver. 2.4.1.0 XP Pro sp2 DVD-R Thinkpad A31p TEAC DW-28E I 08:10:42 ImgBurn Version 2.4.1.0 started! Thank you, Docfxit Going by the log file you posted, you dont have a DVD burner, only a CD writer/DVD reader. EDIT - a quick google reveals that your TEAC DW 28E drive IS only a combo drive and CANNOT write to DVD, only to CD
Docfxit Posted June 25, 2008 Author Posted June 25, 2008 EDIT - a quick google reveals that your TEAC DW 28E drive IS only a combo drive and CANNOT write to DVD, only to CD Thank you. I'll have to see if I can get a DVD burner for this laptop. Thanks, Docfxit
mmalves Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 If your laptop has USB 2.0 ports, get a normal burner in an external enclosure: it'll give better burns than a laptop burner and will also work for a longer time
