coodardy Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 I am trying to burn ISO files to Verbatim 16x DVD-R discs at 6x speed (this seems the most reliable speed for those that have worked). However, about 50% of the time, ImgBurn only gets as far as 'Writin LeadIn...' I.e. the buffer is filled and the OPC is done, but the write gets no further. The log is as follows: I 21:19:21 ImgBurn Version 2.4.0.0 started! I 21:19:21 Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 2) I 21:19:21 Total Physical Memory: 458,028 KB - Available: 118,896 KB I 21:19:21 Initialising SPTI... I 21:19:21 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 21:19:21 Found 1 DVD
LIGHTNING UK! Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 We really need to see what the error says. Can you post the full log after it's actually failed? Oh and upgrade to the latest version of ImgBurn too. There's also a YYS7 firmware update available for the drive: https://sales.sony-semicon.co.uk/sunshine/i...;desc3=Firmware
coodardy Posted July 3, 2008 Author Posted July 3, 2008 I have now found the original log with the problem: I 18:29:28 ImgBurn Version 2.4.0.0 started! I 18:29:28 Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 2) I 18:29:28 Total Physical Memory: 458,028 KB - Available: 123,732 KB I 18:29:28 Initialising SPTI... I 18:29:28 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 18:29:29 Found 1 DVD
LIGHTNING UK! Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 It would have been the firmware up that did it. The other stuff wouldn't have made/doesn't make any difference.
