not enough disc space

I keep getting this message saying

There doesn't appear to be enough

space on the disc to burn this image

would you like to continue

I tried using

memorex 1x -16x dvd-r

and sony 1x-16x dvd-

[volvofl10]

maybe it needs a Dual layer disc ? post a log file
