ok, first of all... i'm new to ImgBurn so bare some patients with me.. ;-)

I have read the Guides and none of them seem to deskribe what i want to do.. I've used the search feature but it turned up no results..

This is my question...

I have an ISO backup of a game.. It's somewhere around 8.1 GB large. I've used Nero to burn it onto a DL DVD but only the first 4.2 GB work "the first layer i guess" I did some searching around and found this program ImgBurn, and i have to say, it looks prommising but i've just ran into the same problem.

The game has 5 Data.rar files each containing 1GB of data. the problem is .. whilst the first 4 Data.rar files, everything works, then the middle file Data5.rar just doesn't open. The DVD drive keeps on spinning up and down and nothing happens.

What i think is happening is this.. The first 4 Data.rar files fit in the first layer so there will not be a problem with them.. from whats remaining on the first layer, ImgBurn starts to copy data5.rar and then it pauses after about 200Megs and continues copying the file on Layer2... The Layer Break happens right in the middle of the file.

Infact, draging data1.rar from the dvd to the desktop works fine but whenever i try to drag data5.rar to the desktop, the transfer is near instant and the file size is 0Kb.

Please help me with this problem.. I've copied DL Movies and they work no problem, so there is nothing wrong with the DVD Writer.

and btw, the ISO file that i'm copying has no .mdf file with it.. tried to ser the Layer break myself but i didn't succeed.

Thanks in advance

Burn and verify a disc.

If it doesn't verify then you've no chance in reading the files from the disc (as it's basically the same thing).

I suspect your drive is just producing a crappy burn on the media you're using.

For DL media you need to be using Verbatim 2.4x DVD+R DL (MKM-001-00 dye)
