JolietJake Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 (edited) Hi, Had ImgBurn installed before and working well thanks to some help from Lightning. I've just reformatted and reinstalled everything. Well I say everything but when I double click the .cue file to burn my FLAC albums I get this message... I had installed FLAC 1.2.1b but clearly I have to install something else. What should I install? Did a search with the title of this thread and found nothing. ImgBurn log file included. Thanks, JJ XP Home SP3 NOD32 V3 Comodo Firewall Pro ImgBurn v2.4.2.0 ================= EDIT!!! I went through the old posts I made on here and downloaded the DCBass Sourcefile, installed it and everything is working perfectly! This thread can be closed. LIGHTNING UK! Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 FLAC 1.2.1b is a GUI and command line util, it's not a DirectShow filter. Download and install the 'madFlac' DirectShow filter. http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=130498 http://madshi.net/madFlac.rar
LIGHTNING UK! Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 Oops, didn't see your edit madFlac works fine now in 2.4.2.0 and all the problems with the FLAC files not decoding to be 100% like the original WAV files have been sorted. madFlac is supposed to be more versatile because it's based on a different FLAC decoding library (or something like that!).
JolietJake Posted July 23, 2008 Author Posted July 23, 2008 Downloaded it to give it a whirl. Thanks.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 Uninstall the DC Bass one first or you'll never know which is being used Also, the DC Bass one takes over playing lots of formats by default, not just Flac. That might not be the behaviour you really want.
