HonmaBJW Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Seems like 4/5 discs get this when I try and Verify them, and only 1/5 discs will turn out fine. Could it be because of the DVD's I'm using or what?
mmalves Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 That's usually caused by poor quality media and/or dirty lens in the burner
happyboy Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 i keep getting the same sort of message since this upgrade
Flawless115 Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 (edited) Just to humor everyone, happyboy, what kind of media are you using? The ImgBurn log should provide that information. Edited July 31, 2008 by Flawless115
volvofl10 Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 post a complete recent log of a failed burn ( as per the "Forum Tips pink banner" at the top of this thread )

happyboy Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 (edited) Heres the log. thanks in adv. for any info. Edited August 1, 2008 by happyboy
dontasciime Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Update your drives firmware http://www.storageupdates.philips.com/file...ate_to_Y5S9.zip then do the other one if its the same drive, as the HH in description below is not exactly same but more than likely is same as filename for download is really DH-16W1S_2D15.zip http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/...p;fileid=261700 Update the firmware in your drives is at your own risk and down to you to research to make sure I have posted right links to your drive. Either way buy better media 2.4 MKM-001-00 Verbatim Made In Singapore

dontasciime Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 whether it be in the guise of a liteon 1633 a sony dru 710a / an F16 there just not a very good drive. The 2 liteons I had were absolute crap and tbh they were 1213s drives anyways
volvofl10 Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 happyboy for future reference, copy and paste the info from the log file into your post. trying to read a .txt file without having to download it is hard work
