Kaotiko Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 When I start ImgBurn all goes perfectly but when I start to write a disc from an image file in the log appears this: 15:38:51 DeviceIoControl(FSCTL_LOCK_VOLUME) Not Supported! - Update your motherboard / IDE drivers!!! This started to happen after burning the first three discs and I dont know what to do. There's no update for my drive. Someone knows what to do?
cornholio7 Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 its telling you that you need to update your chipset drivers, check your motherboards manufacturers website for storage drivers
Kaotiko Posted July 30, 2008 Author Posted July 30, 2008 How can I see which is the manufacturer of my motherboard?

Kaotiko Posted July 30, 2008 Author Posted July 30, 2008 So when I know which is the name of the motherboard I go to the official website and I update it? Oh and by the way, the IDE can be updated?
Kaotiko Posted July 30, 2008 Author Posted July 30, 2008 The name of the motherboard is MSI Amethyst-M and the manufacturer is Micro-Star Int'l Co.,Ltd.
Kaotiko Posted July 30, 2008 Author Posted July 30, 2008 Thx all I hope this problem is solved before friday :S
Kaotiko Posted July 30, 2008 Author Posted July 30, 2008 Oh and anoter thing once I am in that web what should I do?
mmalves Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 Open the one closer to you (or MSI Global if you're in doubt) and find the drivers for your motherboard model
Kaotiko Posted July 31, 2008 Author Posted July 31, 2008 Thx man I hope to find what you had said to me
Kaotiko Posted July 31, 2008 Author Posted July 31, 2008 I have entered in the website and I didn't find anything but I think that is not a motherboard problem. The message I wrote in the post only appears when i'm going to burn something. When I put the image file and click in the "write" button that message appears but not before. Someone told me that it could be because my DVD writer is blocked by some programme. Could it be?
volvofl10 Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 read the following link from the FAQ page HERE Cornholio gave you the information based on your orignal post. You could try the alternative thats suggested in the FAQ page though
