jazzytaxi Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 I was burning a couple DVD's using the same batch of new, made in singapore, Verbatim DVD+R DL's (MKM-001-00). My most recent disc would not finalize, which I couldn't understand since the previous two burns were perfectly fine (I made sure to restart my computer between burns). benstetson Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 I'm having a similar issue with my new DVR-113NP, my other Pioneer died but this new one (relabeled Asus from what I understand) is failing. It burns video fine with Nero but when I try to burn a .DVD with imgburn I get a sync failure when its trying finalize. Where are you Verbatim DVD+R DL blanks made? It's written in the packaging. After upgrading the firmware you also might want to try burning at 4x speed, as some burners perform better burns on that speed

I'll try to keep up on that. I do not have the packaging sheet for my disc, they were a spindle and the paper sheet is long since gone. I will try the 4X burn speed and see what I come up with.
