unable to change booktype

I'm trying to burn a verbatim dvd+r dl with a booktype of dvd-rom. I am new to burning dual layered discs but am having issues since imgburn won't allow me to do anything like this. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

You have to burn it first with ImgBurn and make sure you have Auto Change Book Type ticked in /settings/write
