jonclark Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Hello all, I am new to this, so I searched the forums to find my problem, but didn't succeed - so I am posting a new topic. I was trying to burn a VIDEO_TS folder onto a DVD-R (it had all the correct VOB/IFO/BUP files) and I got what seemed to be all the way through, and I recieved a message asking me to close my disc drive (because it's a laptop) so I did. I then heard a loud "OH NO" sound and saw some problems in the log. Here is the log: I 22:29:27 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started! I 22:29:27 Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition (6.0, Build 6001 : Service Pack 1) I 22:29:27 Total Physical Memory: 3,134,780 KB - Available: 1,807,392 KB I 22:29:27 Initialising SPTI... I 22:29:27 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 22:29:27 Found 1 DVD
spinningwheel Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 I 23:55:04 Source Media Type: DVD-R (Book Type: DVD-R) (Disc ID: LEADDATA01) (Speeds: 3x, 4x) Your media choice is iffy at best. Your drive reads it at 3x which is not an industry standard speed. Change to Taiyo-Yuden or Verbatim DataLifePlus made in Singapore for best results. E 23:55:04 Session 1, Track 1 is smaller on the disc than it is in the image file. Here is what happened, again I'd say that your burner can't handle the media. Also, check to see if there is a newer firmware for your drive.
