Hi,

I have been able to successfully create images for any dvd that I can feed my dvd drives. . .until now. I'm trying to create images for a 4 dvd box set and can create the images for 2 of them; however, the other 2 always fail no matter which dvd drive I use (and they play fine in a dvd player). My drives are old, but I figured if I can create images of 2 of them, why not the other 2? Is it common for discs that come out of the same box to be created differently to where dvd readers have problems? Here are the logs:

Please install the latest ImgBurn available here :)

I 17:01:20 Source Device: [3:0:0] _NEC DVD_RW ND-3550A 1.05 (G:) (ATA)

There is a newer firmware available for your burner (1.07).

I 17:06:54 Source Device: [3:1:0] PIONEER DVD-ROM DVD-115 1.11 (H:) (ATA)

There also is a newer firmware available for your Pioneer DVD-ROM drive (1.33).

Having the latest firmware might help in reading problematic discs, and in the burner's case it may improve burn quality. Remember to remove any disc from the drives and closing their trays before upgrading their firmwares.

Please notice this:

[NEC ND-3550A burner] -> W 17:02:11 Failed to Read Sector 144976 - No Seek Complete

[Pioneer DVD-115 DVD-ROM -> W 17:08:21 Failed to Read Sector 144960 - Tracking Servo Failure

Both drives are having problems reading the disc at the same spot. Look under the disc for scratches/dirt/fingerprints, clean them and try again. If the disc is brand new then it has a manufacturing problem and should be returned. You might want to try reading this disc on other drives :)
