Stuck at "Synchronising Cache"

Recommended Posts

I have two drives, a Sony DRU-510A and a Pioneer DVR-112. Using ImgBurn 2.4.2.0, WinXP SP3, on EITHER drive, in EITHER 'verify' or 'burn' modes, it hangs on "Synchronising Cache".

Help?!

It seems the drive doesn't like the media you're using. Try other write speeds and also check if you're using the latest firmware available for your burners.

I've tried two drives... neither one likes the Philips CD-R?

I 16:26:59 Destination Device: [0:0:0] SONY DVD RW DRU-510A 1.0d (K:) (USB)

Are both the burners you tried with USB connected?

Tried with a lower burning speed?

Tried with two brands of CD-R, Philips and Imation. Haven't tried lower speeds yet.

The Sony is connected via USB. The Pioneer is connected PATA.

Update: Have tried a DVD+R, which worked fine.
