can burn to cd-r but not dvd-r

i can burn dvd movies on a cd-r but every time i try to use a blank dvd-r i get the error message

 

Potential 'read/buffer capacity' deferred error voltage fault

 

i checked, and changed the settings

 

i am using a SATA dvd+rw
