Your drive is getting on in years...might be time for a new one.

W 15:12:30 Potential 'WaitImmediateIO' Deferred Error - (24%, 0/5) - Power Calibration Area Error

E 15:12:34 Failed to Erase Disc! - Reason: Power Calibration Area Error

Your drive doesn't like your discs or either your drive is going south.

Thanks for your reply.

In that case could you suggest a reliable device? I would like to mainly store music and thousands of photos with the occasional video.

No I'm not a Pioneer fan, that device was put in the computer by the retailer. Never have been able to use it properly so I want something anything that will work properly and be reliable. i.e When I next want to use it maybe in a months time it'll still work.

Regards

Bernard
