pepsijoe Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 Hello, I was wondering what I am doing wrong with trying to burn an ISO to a previously written to cd-rw. I have tried erasing the various discs (currently using Memorex CD-RW) and when installing the the OS (in this case Fedora), the erased cd invariably fails during the install. I have confirmed the checksum so I am pretty confident that the ISO is complete/correct, which is leading me to believe that I am doing something wrong with the burn process. thanks in advance Joe
Cynthia Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 Hi and welcome to the forum, pepsijoe! Did you verify the burned cd?
pepsijoe Posted August 18, 2008 Author Posted August 18, 2008 Hi and welcome to the forum, pepsijoe! Did you verify the burned cd? thanks, yes the verify completed successfully
COKEDUDE Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 I'm also having this problem. Some ideas would be great.
mmalves Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 If the disc verified succesfully then it was correctly burnt and it's an exact match to the contents of the ISO image. You should then check if the ISO image isn't corrupt or maybe try burning it to a DVD-RW/DVD+RW/DVD-RAM you may have lying around
