Hello.

This is my first posting but I have read through the site & can't seem to find the answer to this problem.

Error: Failed to set L0 Data Zone Capacity.

I am using Imgburn v 2.4.2.0.

Any help would be much appreciated.

That disc is the result of a failed burn from another burn attempt and it got damaged in the process, so you'll have to try a new one. But first, contact the laptop manufacturer and check if there's a newer firmware available for your burner. Alternatively you could get a normal-sized burner in an external enclosure, as they're reasonably unexpensive and will make better quality burns :)

Thank you for the very prompt reply!

Apparently I have the latest firmware for my Vaio but that was from doing an internet search to find out, not by contacting Sony.

Changing the disc got the process through that hurdle but it then failed at this point: Failed to set L0 Data Zone Capacity!

Any ideas?

Well, your burner doesn't like those discs for some reason. Where are your Verbatim DVD+R DLs made? Singapore or India? It's written in the packaging/spindle.

Unfortunately only a firmware update could help solving this problem. I guess you'll have to use another computer to burn this or you'll need to buy an external burner.

Made in Singapore ............. which is rather annoying. I'll try contacting Sony tomorrow to see if there is another firmware update I have missed during my searches.

Thank you for your help, it really is very much appreciated!
