Riggers Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 Hello. This is my first posting but I have read through the site & can't seem to find the answer to this problem. Error: Failed to set L0 Data Zone Capacity. I am using Imgburn v 2.4.2.0. Any help would be much appreciated. Log: I 16:48:07 Operation Started! But first, contact the laptop manufacturer and check if there's a newer firmware available for your burner. Alternatively you could get a normal-sized burner in an external enclosure, as they're reasonably unexpensive and will make better quality burns

Apparently I have the latest firmware for my Vaio but that was from doing an internet search to find out, not by contacting Sony. mmalves Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 E 18:41:36 Failed to set L0 Data Zone Capacity!E 18:41:36 Reason: Power Calibration Area Error Well, your burner doesn't like those discs for some reason. Where are your Verbatim DVD+R DLs made? Singapore or India? It's written in the packaging/spindle. Unfortunately only a firmware update could help solving this problem. I guess you'll have to use another computer to burn this or you'll need to buy an external burner.

I'll try contacting Sony tomorrow to see if there is another firmware update I have missed during my searches. Thank you for your help, it really is very much appreciated!
