Spanning across several dvd's

I am attempting to recover a large amount of data "My Documents" with a total size of 12.5 Gb. I was recommended to use ImgBurn by a contributor to Experts Exchange. I was told that ImgBurn would be able to burn my data to dvd and spread it across as many discs as required automatically. I have tried running it this morning and have an error telling me that:"Failed to write sectors. Reason, End of User Are on This Track". Also: "Logical Block Address Out of Range."

 

Should ImgBurn allow spanning? Can anyone explain why I have encountered the above failures?

It would appear the 'expert' doesn't know as much about ImgBurn as he/she thinks they do.
