ICEMAN616 Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 I recently switched from Windows XP Home Edition to Windows XP Professional. While on Windows XP Home Edition, I used a DVD making software to make a video file into a VIDEO_TS folder and an AUDIO_TS folder. I then used Imgburn to compile the two folders into an ISO and then burnt it. I used this technique hundreds of times with not the slightest problem. Now, Imgburn is suddenly extremely slow to build and burn. P.S. Slow meaning less than 1.0x and I am still using the same media(not that it would matter because it builds ISO images slow too). Will post a log asap.
mmalves Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Follow this post from the FAQ entirely (i.e. remove storage controllers/etc) and it should go back to normal speeds
ICEMAN616 Posted August 29, 2008 Author Posted August 29, 2008 I've done that before but couldn't find the option under the BIOS screen although I have followed the rest of the guide to no avail. This is weird because even the build speeds are slow.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 You make the changes in Device Manager really, not the BIOS.
ICEMAN616 Posted August 29, 2008 Author Posted August 29, 2008 (edited) You make the changes in Device Manager really, not the BIOS. Thanks, found the answer. It was in the BIOS right in front of me! I was not paying close attention because I wanted to solve this problem and looked right over it. Thanks for your support! Edited August 29, 2008 by ICEMAN616
