As you can imagine its getting pretty expensive after trying 4 times then binning the DL dvd. The type of media i am using is a Verbatim DVD+R DL disc. W 16:28:54 Failed to Write Sectors 436192 - 436223 - Reason: Logical Unit Communication CRC Error (ULTRA-DMA/32) This error may also be caused by old drivers so make sure you're using the latest storage drivers available for your motherboard. Yeah you have to change the "CABLE" be that IDE or SATA You also have to check your bios to see how you have SATA set to handle ATAPI devices.
